NW road accidents claims 9 lives in three days─── 08:06 Sun, 22 Dec 2019
Three people - a taxi driver and two women, died while eleven others were left injured during a fatal accident on the R53 road outside Potchefstroom in the North West on Saturday, 21 December 2019.
This, after a taxi carrying 12 passengers collided with a private vehicle. Potchefstroom police have opened a case of culpable homicide and are still investigating. Meanwhile, the North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari, sent his condolences to the families of the deceased and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured. This brings the death toll to 9 in the province due to carnage in a period of just three days.
