The slain 16-year-old Koffiefontein learner, Lungelo Khathane, will be laid to rest today.
Khathane fell victim to school violence, when he was stabbed by a fellow learner on Tuesday, October 15.
He died in Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein after the stabbing incident outside the school premises.
Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, confirmed the exact details surrounding the incident is still under police investigation, and a 16-year-old accused remains in custody at the Grootvlei Prison’s juvenile section.
This, after he appeared in court earlier this week. Makhele confirmed to OFM News that the teenager’s case was postponed to provide him with an opportunity to obtain legal counsel.
