Unisa students happy with agreement─── 13:08 Thu, 08 Aug 2019
Students from the Unisa Vaal Regional Service Center in Vereeniging, Gauteng, are delighted after they reached an agreement with management.
Students protested last week Friday, following unhappiness about issues they experienced with examination results.
The Unisa Student Representative Council (SRC) president, Wandzanai Madzetese, reportedly says the institution took too long to release examination results, and when they did, there were inconsistencies which angered students.
Responding to this claim in a statement released by the institution, Unisa revealed that they released 99% of the semester's results on Friday.
Students told OFM News that they were worried and concerned about the strike action, adding that this is because the second semester is short. Allegedly students could not access the study center because of fear of victimisation from fellow students.
