Upgraded Kroonstad traffic control centre opened─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 09:03 Wed, 31 Jul 2019
The Free State MEC of Police, Roads and Transport, Sam Mashinini, will be amongst those attending the opening of the recently upgraded traffic control centre outside Kroonstad on Wednesday 31 July.
Eastern Region Project Manager at the South African National Roads Agency (Sanral), Nomsa Modise, revealed recently that the agency had a role in the erection of the Kroonstad and Senekal traffic control centres, also referred to as weighbridges. Moqhaka Local Municipality Mayor, Lucky Phooko, will also be in attendance at the opening.
Recently OFM News interviewed Phooko, who outlined his ambitious plans for the area during his first one hundred days in office, despite allegations of tender fraud still hovering like a dark cloud above this Free State municipality. He has also promised to ensure that Moqhaka’s financial standing is significantly improved during his tenure.
