Ntombela honours family of late Bfn Journalist─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 15:27 Thu, 02 Sep 2021
The family of a well-known Bloemfontein Celtic fanatic and late sports journalist, Reitumetse Mabeleng, will soon be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
This, as Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela is on Friday expected to hand over a house to her family.
Mabeleng, who was also a member of the Celtic Supporters’ National Executive Committee, passed away after a short illness at the National District Hospital in October 2020. The passing of the 32-year-old, Mabeleng, who was known amongst her colleagues and Bloemfontein Celtics supporters as “Myzer”, sent shock waves on social media.
Ntombela in a statement now says Mabeleng made a huge contribution to the sports fraternity in the province and there will be handover of a newly-built house to her family in her memory.
"She was at the time of her passing, a member of the Celtic Supporters’ National Executive Committee, but also a renowned local sport journalist and media commentator who had won the hearts of locals in Bloemfontein because of her unwavering passion for sport," said Ntombela.
Ntombela, in Mabeleng’s memory, is on Friday expected to unveil the family's new home in Freedom Square, Bloemfontein.
