Marumo Gallants are expected to play the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season under their current name.

The club will be relocating to Bloemfontein ahead of the season and they have already indicated that all of their home games will be played in the city.

There were reports that the club will change their name to Bloemfontein Celtic but it appears that this has been put on ice.

During the Bloemfontein Celtic Supporters meeting on the weekend, it was revealed that a name change for the coming season is not possible.

The was revealed by the spokesperson for the club, Sello Nduna, who for many years was involved with Bloemfontein Celtic.

OFM Sport has also has a copy of the minutes of the meeting in which it indicates that for now the there will be no name change.

What was also revealed it that Gallants will set up offices in Bloemfontein, which will include a shop. There will be a club launch in the city where the supporters and football lovers will get to meet and engage with the players.

Gallants will hold a press conference in Sandton at 10:30 on Tuesday morning to outline their plans.
