Residents of East London awoke Sunday morning to shocking news regarding the deaths of at least twenty-two people at a nightclub in the city.
According to a local newspaper The Daily Dispatch, the exact cause of the deaths at this stage is unknown.
However, there is speculation that the club-goers were either exposed to some form of poison, or an incident resulted in a large number of people being injured and killed in a stampede.
OFM News has since issued an inquiry to Eastern Cape police spokesperson Tembinkosi Kinana in connection with this incident.
