Amidst a dark financial cloud that looms over the Leopards, the side from the North West kicks off their Currie Cup 1st Division campaign on Friday evening when they travel to George to face the SWD Eagles.
The union has been in financial strife over the last while but on the field the players remain focused on making a strong start to their 1st division campaign.
The Leopards will be hoping to bounce back from a torrid Supersport Rugby Challenge where they failed to qualify for the knockout stages following 1 win from 8 matches.
It was reported earlier this month that the Leopards were considering not travelling for their away matches against Namibia, Border and Eastern Province due to financial constraints which makes coach Jonathan Mokuena's job for a solid season that much harder
Through it all, the Leopards get matters underway at 18h00 on Friday at Outeniqua Park.
