Tremor of 5.3 felt throughout Central South Africa─── 13:11 Tue, 05 Aug 2014

Bloemfontein - A large earth tremor has been felt across a huge part of the country. According to earthquake.usgs.gov the quake measured 5.3 on the Richter Scale. The epicentre was 6km east of Orkney, 10km deep. The NWU's prof Frans Waanders says after-shocks can be expected.

UPDATE 5/8/14 16:00 | The Council of Geosciences of SA said the quake was 5.5 in magnitude.
