Police Forum in FS to help fight crime─── 07:44 Sat, 21 Jul 2018
Members of the Kopanong police forum, in partnership with Coca Cola Beverage SA, plan to help safeguard the future of learners in the Mangaung area, following an initiative to train and mentor volunteers from local communities.
Colonel Dingilizwe Fothoane and Coca Cola Beverage SA’s logistic manager, Francois Loots, Friday handed over valuable equipment and board games to the Kopanong Secondary school.
Fothoane told OFM News that the initiative was pursued by recent events that took place in that area involving crime such as robbery against pupils and young people.
Loots also told OFM News that they are excited with the partnership between them and the SAPS in that area.
He says they saw the need to ensure that the learners are able to grasp the knowledge of education in a much safer way.
Loots says they see SAPS as valuable partners and they are facing many crimes in the communities, so they have decided to partner with Coca Cola Beverage SA so that they can make it safer for everybody.
Loots adds they are supporting this initiative by trying to get children off the streets.
