The Free State Psychiatric Complex will not come under the magnifying glass during this phase of the national health department’s intervention project. This is despite the difficulties currently facing the facility and its staff on a daily basis
According to provincial health department spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, the officials deployed to the Free State province - including doctors, nurses and senior managers - arrived last week.
The complex, however, is not among the nine health facilities in the province that will come under national scrutiny, this is despite reports that staff shortages have reached critical levels. OFM News' Olebogeng Motse reports staff shortages aren’t the only problems facing this mental health facility.
