Family, friends pay tribute to Nika Hancke - PHOTOS─── JOSCA HUMAN 11:41 Fri, 23 Mar 2018
The funeral of Nika Hancke has commenced in the Dutch Reformed Church in Estoire, Bloemfontein.
This comes after a 19-year-old driver allegedly lost control of his father's red Mercedes Benz two weeks ago, in Nelson Mandela Drive in Bloemfontein.
Hancke and her three friends were in the car at the time of the accident. Hancke passed away in the Pelonomi Hospital last Friday. MEC of Finance Elzabe Rockman's daughter, Caitlyn Rockman, was also in the accident.
Hancke's Father, Johan Buys, says they will miss her very much.
OFM News' Josca Human reports that emotions are running high at the church service on this rainy Friday morning.
Nika's father earlier paid tribute to his daughter, saying he does not want to say 'Rest in Peace' as Nika will be busy with all the angels in heaven.
Robbie du Toit, who is leading the service, described her as a friend and loving person who always cared for those in need.
She also loved nature and cooking very much. Nika's cousin, André Stroh, also paid tribute to her through a song, while candles were light up in her memory.
