Free State police will have a zero-tolerance approach this weekend when Bloemfontein hosts the rugby Test between the Springboks and Australia on Saturday.
The Mangaung African Cultural Festival, known as Macufe, also starts on Friday. Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says the police in conjunction with law enforcement agencies will tighten their grip and embark on an intensive law enforcement operation to clamp down on criminals.
The operation was put in motion earlier this month and will continue until the end of October. He says law and order will be maintained. Police will clamp down on drinking in public, incidents of public indecency, theft out of vehicles and street robberies.

The Cheetahs will also be in action against Ospreys in the Guinness Pro14 Series in the Toyota Stadium on Friday at 17:00.
