Sannieshof - Six suspects allegedly involved in a farm attack at Leeukuil farm near Sannieshof are expected to appear in the Delareyville Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
Police spokesperson, Kelebogile Moleko, says the suspects were arrested on Thursday 18 May 2017 in Sannieshof and Ottosdal after an intensive investigation. They face charges of murder, attempted murder and house robbery.
They were allegedly involved in an incident where a farmer was killed and his wife was injured on Tuesday 16 May 2017.
Moleko says according to information available at this stage, BC Greyling, 59, was together with his 57-year-old wife, Marlette, at their place of residence when suspects broke a window and gained entrance into the house.
They allegedly shot the Greylings and the husband died on the scene while the wife sustained serious injuries. His 87-year-old mother, Magdaleen, was hiding under a table elsewhere in the house during the attack and was not injured.
Three cell phones and a white Isuzu double cab were allegedly stolen. The motor vehicle was later found abandoned in Ottosdal later on the day of the incident.
Moleko says following their arrest on Thursday, the three cell phones were also recovered.
