Bloemfontein - Former Mangaung Metro Mayor, Thabo Manyoni, has been deployed to the National Assembly.
This was revealed during the ANC Provincial Leadership Summit held in Bloemfontein today.
There has been speculation as to whether there would be a reshuffling of the provincial leadership following the local elections, which saw former Cogta MEC, Olly Mlamleli, become the new mayor of Mangaung.
ANC Provincial Secretary, William Bulwane, says Manyoni can be called to parliament at any time.
"We have amended our list as a province. So the ANC’s deputy chair in the Free State will be sworn in at parliament as a matter of urgency, anytime from now. His name is there. He will be called to be sworn in as a member of the National Assembly."
