Bloemfontein - Two police constables from the Bayswater Police Station in Bloemfontein are expected to appear in the Local Magistrate's Court today in connection with corruption.

Police spokesperson, Wendy Nkabi, confirmed the arrest. This comes after OFM News received information from a reliable source about the two police officers who recently allegedly arrested a local man for the possession of drugs.

The two men apparently took the suspect  to the police station where a case was allegedly opened but never registered. According to information the suspect was released on condition that he pays the police officers R200.

They went to the man's workplace and collected the money, after which they returned to the police station where they were arrested by the police's Anti Corruption Unit.
