Thaba Nchu - Minister Malusi Gigaba says the service at Home Affairs offices across the country has improved, although they are short-staffed.

He was speaking during the launch of the revamped offices in Thaba Nchu this morning. Gigaba mentioned that 160 000 ID cards remain uncollected. OFM News' Refilwe Gaeswe reports that Premier Ace Magashule, Public Works MEC, Dora Kotze, and Mayor, Thabo Manyoni, were among the dignitaries at the Ratlou complex.

Speaking at the event, Gigaba reassured residents that they will be rendered with quality services.

Gigaba also applauded the provincial government for speeding up the process, as some residents previously had to travel long distances to access Home Affairs services.
