Kuruman - Three people, including a one-year-old, were killed in three collisions in the Northern Cape, paramedics said.

Fourteen people were injured in the three collisions on Saturday, ER24 spokesperson, Werner Vermaak, said on Sunday.

One person was killed when his car rolled on the N14 towards Kathu, while the one-year-old died after he was knocked over by a taxi in Caging, Kuruman.

In the last incident, one person died and fourteen were injured when two bakkies collided head on with each other on the N14 near Olifantshoek.

The majority of the people, who sustained minor to moderate injuries, were sitting in the back of the bakkie when the collision occurred, Vermaak said.

The injured were transported to Upington Provincial Hospital.
