Fatal head-on collision leaves 2 dead on NC road─── 08:31 Mon, 21 Dec 2015
Kimberley - Two people were certified dead at the scene following a head- on- collision between a car and a bakkie.
It is reported that the Toyota Corolla was travelling towards Barkly West while the Isuzu bakkie was travelling in the direction of Kimberley.
The accident happened Sunday afternoon at about 14:50 just approximately 15 Kilometres outside Kimberley.
To evacuate the trapped body and injured passengers from the wreckage, the emergency and rescue team had to use the Jaws of Life.
Ten injured persons were transported to the local hospital with severe and minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown yet, an investigation continues. A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.Photos: Supplied
