Bloemfontein - Different estimates of the number of people in attendance at the It's Time National Day of Prayer have surfaced.
Preacher Angus Buchan said at a media conference on Saturday after the prayer meeting that he believes there were a million people at the gathering. He also said that he had 18 million responses of people on his social media platform.
Kabelo Moloabi, spokesperson for the Department of Police, Roads and Transport counted 560 000 parked vehicles at Wilde Als farm in Bloemfontein where the prayer gathering was held.
Some of the visitors at the gathering are sure that there were far more than a million people at the event. On social media people also shared their views.
