South Africa's Brandon Grace believes that accuracy with the putter could be the ticket to his success at the 2018 US Masters which tees off at Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday.

Grace is one of five South Africans that will be teeing it up in the 1st Major of the year and despite the bookies tipping Louis Oosthuizen as the favorite for South Africa, Grace can not be ruled out.

Grace finished in a tie for 18th in his first trip to Augusta, and three cuts followed from 2014 to 2016 before a share of 27th last year which could be why South African golfer and commentator Dale Hayes, speaking to OFM Sport, believes Augusta might be a challenge for Grace.

"I don't think this is the best course for Branden, he hits the ball low and traditionally winners at Augusta have not been low ball hitters."

"The Masters favors people who hit the ball high and with the difficult pin placements they are able to get their second shot in the right position which at Augusta is critical," Hayes added.

Grace tees off alongside American local Zach Johnson and Martin Kaymer of Germany at 16:31.

The 82nd edition of the US Masters concludes on Sunday.
