South Africa 'A' clinched the three-match unofficial One-Day International series against Sri Lanka 'A' in Kandy on Thursday
South Africa won the third match by five-wickets thanks to individual brilliance by Gerald Coetzee and Tristan Stubbs.
The former ITEC Knights seamer, Coetzee, took 5/48 to lead the charge with the ball as Sri Lanka was bowled out for 172-runs in 42.3 overs.
Sahan Arachchige top-scored for the hosts with 63-runs, while Ashen Bandara added 36 to the score.
Stubbs in his turn scored a patient unbeaten 58-runs to lead South Africa over the line in 35.5 overs. For Stubbs it was is second 50 on tour after scoring 59-runs on Tuesday during the 2nd unofficial ODI.
He was well supported by the North West Dragons all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy, who scored 45 not out. It was a good day for the Proteas player as he also took two wickets for 42-runs in his complement of nine overs.
Coetzee also enjoyed a good all-round tour int he 50-over format after scoring 77-runs during Tuesday's 7-wicket defeat.
The first of two four-day games starts on Monday in Dambulla.
