The former Proteas batman, Rilee Rossouw, is currently in Bloemfontein and training with the Itec Knights.
These days Rossouw, who has previously played for the Knights, plays across the world in various leagues and tournaments.
As recently as June he played for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.
While nothing is set in stone, the destructive left-hander could play for the Knights against Namibia in the preseason matches and even the first few games of the domestic T20 Knockout competition next month.
The Knights opening batsman, Matthew Kleinveldt, told OFM Sport that it's great to have Rossouw training with them.
“We will have a few tough preseason games lying ahead and we are looking forward to that challenge. “As well as seeing some of the new guys in action.
“We've also got Rilee Rossouw who is training with us and we are hoping that he will be available to play in the preseason games as well as the upcoming games when the season starts.”
The Knights face Namibia on 4 September in the first T20 at the Mangaung Oval.
