South Africa finished third in the latest Test cricket team rankings released on Monday.
India have retained the Test Championship Mace and won the purse of $ 1 million (R14.19m) for the third year running after finishing at the top of the rankings on the cut-off date of April 1, while New Zealand ensured second place.
South Africa, who had finished second the previous two times, will now get prize money of $200,000 (R2.83m) for finishing third with 105 points, while Australia who edged out England on decimal points at 104 points bag $100,000 (R1.41m).
