The Titans have secured themselves the opportunity to defend their Ram Slam T20 Challenge title in the final as they easily beat the Warriors in last night’s semi-final played at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The Titans who ran away with the log during the round robin stages of the competition easily cruised past the Port Elizabeth based side with 8 wickets following a clinical performance with the bat as well as with the ball.

A brilliant 4 for 32 from spinner Tabraiz Shamsi restricted the Warriors to 143 all out after the visitors were asked to bat first.

The most notable contribution from Malibongwe Maketa's men courtesy of Colin Ackerman who fell 2 runs short of his half century thanks to that man Shamzi who trapped the batsman leg before on 48 runs.

Colin Ingram in his turn played a quick fire 41 runs off 28 deliveries to support his teammate and help his side to their 143 run total.

Mark Bouchers Titans in their turn with the bat showed exactly why they are defending champs as Aiden Markram fired a solid 55 runs not out off 37 balls while AB de Villiers contributed with 54 runs not out off 35 balls to put on an unbeaten partnership of 101 from 62 balls and in so doing securing an emphatic victory and finals spot with 28 balls to spare.

The Titans will be firm favorites in Saturday’s final against the winners of the second semi-final between Dolphins and Cape Cobras who clash at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead in Durban with action set to get underway at 18:00.
