No one has been arrested yet after the murder of a Maluti-a-Phofung councillor and his mother.
Moshe (40) and Dinah Lefuma (61) were killed at home in Phuthaditjhaba by two unidentified men on Saturday (23/11).
“The case is being investigated by the provincial serious and violent crime, murder, and robbery unit in Bloemfontein after it was handed over for further investigation,” said Free State police spokesperson Lorraine Earle.
Police ask anyone with information to contact WO Tlever Mbele on 082 332 3418 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Two men are said to have entered the family home while Dinah was home with her sons. They inquired about her oldest son, Moshe, who was sleeping in one of the bedrooms.
They went straight into his bedroom after being asked why they were searching for him, and she followed them. At that point, the youngest son heard gunshots and fled the house.
A memorial service to commemorate the councillor’s life will be held on Thursday (28/11) when friends, family, and colleagues will gather at the Bluegumbosch Multipurpose Centre.
On Saturday, a funeral service will be held at the same venue for the 40-year-old and his mom.
“The DA deeply mourns the loss of his young life, as someone who still had so much to give his community and we will remain unwavering in our pursuit of justice,” said Maluti-a-Phofung DA Constituency Head, Jafta Mokoena.
“Moshe’s commitment to uplifting his community was unwavering, and in the DA, he was more than just a colleague but also a friend to many.
“His impact extended beyond what he did as a politician, and his generosity, kindness, and gentleness resonated with those around him,” he said.
