Three bodies were retrieved on Sunday (2/7). The fourth body was a former police official.
The municipal spokesperson, Janson Milford, recently told OFM News that one of the members of the Buffelsrivier community was swept off his tractor by the strong current and is yet to be found.
The municipality also recently said machinery had been deployed to ensure the accessibility of the private access road to enable motorists to travel from Buffelsrivier, Komaggas, and Kleinsee.
Milford said this development allows for safe passage, allowing motorists to cross onto the R355, Motorists are, however, advised to exercise caution as the river is still flowing strongly.
