Praise poetry festival hosted in Bloemfontein─── ZENANDE MPAME 10:58 Tue, 25 Jul 2023
The one-day event is planned to take place at the Bloemfontein Civic Theatre on Saturday (29/7).
The Azania Cultural & Heritage Praise Poetry Festival will include nine praise poets from nine different tribes, each of which will perform in their individual African home languages.
“These poets will narrate about the history of their native kings, cultural historic sites, their battles from the beginning till the end, their lineage, roles, and responsibilities.
“The Azania poetry festival project is endowed with a rich artistic and cultural diversity which is geographically dispersed,” says Mzwakhe Khachela, festival director.

The event will also include a variety of cultural dance groups from all over the country. This event is made possible by the National Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture, and the Mighty Greener Pastures General.
Tickets are available at Computicket. The event will be from 12:00 until 18:00.
