ANC NEC urged to hit the ground running─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 10:06 Sun, 08 Jan 2023
The newly elected Deputy President of the ANC, Paul Mashatile, who was elected at the 55th ANC conference, has called on the newly elected National Executive Committee (NEC) to hit the ground running.
While giving a keynote address at Waaihoek Wesleyan Church in Bloemfontein, where the ANC was founded in 1912, Mashatile said that the service that the ANC was having this morning will set the tone for their 111th anniversary celebration.
He said that the service at the church will also pave the way for the party's plans to renew and unite.
Mashatile said that the time for talking is now over, and called on the newly elected NEC to start implementing their mandate, which is to deliver services to the people.
"We want to serve our people, that’s the only thing we want. We are dedicating ourselves to serve, nothing else as we rebuild and strengthen the ANC. We want a strong ANC to go and ensure that our government builds," said Mashatile.
OFM News previously reported that the last session of the conference held in Mangaung, with almost 3 000 ANC delegates from all over the country, was concluded this past week.
