The Free State MEC for Education, Tate Makgoe, has expressed his condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of a Grade 12 Science and Mathematics teacher following his death.
The 34-year-old Selwyn Petrus Moos, from the Jagersfontein Combined School in the Free State, died after being involved in a car accident.
According to a statement issued by the Free State Department of Education, Moos died on the evening of Tuesday 20 December 2022.
He was on his way home from the marking centre in Bloemfontein when the accident occurred on the road between Bloemfontein and Jagersfontein.
Makgoe added that the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, also conveyed her condolences to his family and colleagues.
