Residents in some parts of the JB Marks Municipality in North West have been advised to boil water before they consume it.
This follows a breakdown at the Old Potchefstroom Water Treatment facility.
According to a statement issued by the municipality, residents of the Old Bult and the Potchefstroom Dam areas should boil water as a precaution prior to consuming it.
Meanwhile - repair work on the facility's Chlorination System is expected to start on Monday, after specialists were engaged on the matter for an assessment and diagnosis.
