Ramaphosa promises to revamp Ditsobotla Municipality─── 06:33 Sun, 27 Nov 2022
African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa on Saturday lead the Letsema Campaign, along with the provincial ANC leadership in the Bodibe Village, near Lichtenburg, North West.
Ramaphosa promised to deal decisively with corruption – should the ANC take control of the municipality after the upcoming by-election.
15 political parties will be represented on the ballot paper.
In his address to the community, Ramaphosa said they want to provide residents of the Bodibe Village with opportunities, especially for investment, as the village produces lime which is used by Lafarge - one of the largest cement companies.
Ramaphosa said he will make sure that the company works very closely with the community.
He also warned those who would take over the troubled municipality that government will keep a close eye on them and he emphasised that those who are involved in corruption will be arrested.
