Breaking News: Bus on fire on N5─── LUCKY NKUYANE 17:37 Wed, 23 Nov 2022
A bus carrying 36 passengers caught fire on the N5 near Paul Roux outside Senekal in the Free State, on Wednesday, 23 November 2022.
According to the police's spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, the bus was travelling from Cape Town in the Western Cape and was en route to Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.
He says all 36 passengers, including three bus drivers, survived unharmed. Only one driver sustained a minor injury to his leg.
Mophiring has since urged motorists driving from Bethlehem to Senekal and from Senekal to Bethlehem to exercise extreme caution and patience when driving toward the aforementioned towns. Mophiring says emergency services are on the scene, but the bus has not been removed from the road.

OFM News previously reported that a bus and truck collided on the N8 outside Bloemfontein near Botshabelo and claimed the lives of nine people. The accident also left scores injured.
