The murder cases against two Free State men who allegedly killed their mothers have been postponed.
Two Free State men who allegedly killed their mothers, appeared in court on Monday. The provincial National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Phaladi Shuping, told OFM News that the 28-year-old Lekgotla Molahlehi Samuel Moeti appeared in the Botshabelo Magistrate’s Court on Monday for the murder of his 65-year-old mother, whom he allegedly murdered after he asked for money and she did not give him any.
Shuping further said the 42-year-old Lebohang Samuel Tsumane also appeared before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday for allegedly strangling his 71-year-old mother to death.
“Moeti is facing a charge of murder. His case is postponed to 19 August 2022 for a bail application and he will remain in custody. In another incident, Tsumane is facing one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. The accused allegedly attacked and stabbed his mother with a sharp object. When his uncle tried to stop him, he also stabbed the uncle. His case has been postponed to 12 August 2022.”
