Two drivers have been reported dead following the collision of two trucks on the N1 road between Winburg and Verkeerdevlei in the Free State.
According to the Free State Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Sipho Towa, the two truck drivers are still trapped inside the vehicles.
The extraction of their bodies is currently underway.
Towa says that the N1 road is completely closed, as one truck is leaking fuel.
He also adds that traffic from Bloemfontein is being diverted from the Kareedam off-ramp, while traffic from Winburg is being diverted to Brandfort Road.
