The JB Marks Local Municipality in the North West is set to initiate water quality testing following questions regarding the quality of water that is currently being supplied.
This was after the municipality confirmed that it was aware of information that has been doing the rounds on social media and other media platforms in relation to the quality of water.
In a statement, the municipality says that it will undertake an urgent water quality test with the relevant stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the municipality has advised residents to take the necessary precautionary measures, which includes boiling the water before consumption.
The municipality is anticipated to report back to the public as soon as the tests are done.
