Murder case of police officer’s son postponed─── 13:00 Wed, 20 Jan 2021
The case against four suspects charged with the murder of a police officer’s son has been postponed to 25 January 2021 for bail applications.
This follows their appearance at the Theunissen Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. OFM News previously reported on the incident where the four suspects were arrested on Monday 18 January 2021 following a lengthy investigation since last year.
Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, says the suspects were arrested in Theunissen, while others were arrested in Virginia and were found in possession of some of the deceased's items. All suspects are still in custody until their next appearance.
Mbambo, in a statement, explains that during the early hours of 30 November 2020, police were alerted about a male body at the Basil Read Graveyard where the body was later identified as that of Andile Majikela (31).
