Residents in Bloemfontein in the Free State can now access services at the Mangaung and Park Road Police Stations after they were closed for decontamination due to positive coronavirus cases.
According to police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, the acting Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Free State, Solly Lesia, announced that these police stations will be operating from today. This, as the affected SAPS members were placed in quarantine after testing positive for the virus.
Mbambo also added that Lesia thanked communities for their patience during the closure of these police stations.
Meanwhile, OFM News recently reported that the Mangaung Police Station closed its doors earlier this week for the third time in less than a month due to positive coronavirus cases. In the recent incident, three SAPS members tested positive for the virus.
