#ForTheLoveOfBooks campaign to assist more schools─── MOLEBOGENG MALEBO 15:02 Wed, 06 Feb 2019
OFM News, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bloemfontein-Raadzaal, the Free State Department of Education and various sponsors, is embarking on yet another project as part of the #ForTheLoveOfBooks campaign which was initiated in 2018.
The campaign is aimed at gathering books through drives, which are then donated to schools who need them. The beneficiary for the first book drive was Katamelo Intermediate School in Botshabelo.
The campaign is not only a way to promote the pastime of reading, but it is also a way to give more learners the opportunity to access a whole new world of knowledge through books.
The public is being urged to donate books, preferably for primary school learners. Donations can be dropped off at the Pick n Pay Showgrounds or Central Media Park between 07:30 and 16:00 by Valentine’s Day on Thursday 14 February.
