Three Decades of Democracy is set to highlight the vibrancy and diversity of South African art, curated to offer both a historical and contemporary perspective.
Co-curated by Happy Dhlame who has also curated exhibitions in France and Switzerland and teaches at Lycée Français in Sandton and Funda in Soweto, while engaging in outreach in Pondoland, Nquthu, and the Vaal.

The current exhibition features acclaimed artists such as David Koloane, Vincent Baloyi, and others, alongside emerging talents like Nompumelelo Tshabalala and Nelson Makamo. It highlights the impact of early art education institutions and showcases diverse mediums reflecting South Africa’s socio-political history, from the Marikana massacre to debates over Orania.
