Man drowns in Vaal dam─── 12:38 Sat, 10 Jan 2015
Vaal Dam - A man in his 30s has drowned in the Vaal Dam.
This according to the National Sea Rescue Institute.
Vaal Dam station commander Dick Manten says that the NSRI duty crew received a report of a drowning in progress just before 16:00 yesterday afternoon.
Rescue swimmers were deployed into the water to free dive search for the man that had gone missing in the water.
His body was recovered from the water and he was declared dead on the scene.
