Actor Kenneth Nkosi arrested in Bloemfontein─── 17:42 Mon, 13 Oct 2014
Bloemfontein - Kenneth Nkosi, a prominent South African actor and comedian, was arrested in Bloemfontein for drunk driving and resisting arrest in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says the comedian was very difficult and refused to cooperate with the police during his arrest. Marope says he declined to provide his details, but arresting officers, however, recognised the celebrity from the big screen.
Nkosi, who starred in a number of local and international films, including Mad Buddies and White Wedding, was released on a warning the same day.
NPA spokesperson, Phaladi Shuping, says a senior prosecutor has requested more details about the case before Nkosi can appear in court.
His agent, Nashoda Billy from MLA Actors Management, declined to comment on the charges.
