Kgwadi officially inaugurated as NWU Vice Chancellor─── DANE BEISHEIM 08:21 Sat, 27 Sep 2014
Dane Beisheim Mmabatho - Dan Kgwadi has been officially inaugurated as the North West University Vice Chancellor.
This comes a day after Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande slammed the university for a lack of transformation as contained in the controversial Wessels Report, which investigated incidents of racism and initiation on the Potchefstroom campus.
Kgwadi says he's honoured to accept the position but that it will be a challenging one.
King of the Royal Bafokeng Nation Kgosi Leruo Tshekedi Molotlegi, was also re-installed as NWU Chancellor at the event that took place at the Mmabatho Convention Centre last night.
Amongst the attendees were North West Education MEC Wendy Matsemela, Tlokwe City Mayor Kgotso Khumalo and UFS Rector Jonathan Jansen.
