Malepe called up for Zimbabwe and Ghana qualifiers─── MORGAN PIEK 14:53 Mon, 08 Nov 2021

The AmaZulu defender, Tercious Malepe, has received a late call-up to the national football team ahead of this week’s crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana.
Malepe has been called up as a replacement for the Kaizer Chiefs defender, Sifiso Hlanti, who snapped his Achilles tendon last week in training ahead of the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates.
Bafana Bafana will host Zimbabwe on Thursday evening, while on Sunday, Ghana hosts Bafana on the Cape Coast.
Meanwhile, the striker, Victor Letsoalo, could be rested for Thursday night's qualifier.
While the Royal Am marksman is in the squad and reported at camp on Monday morning, the coach Hugo Broos could opt not to play him as he needs just one more yellow card before being suspended.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker may instead be used in Sunday night's game against Ghana on the Cape Coast.
Thursday evening's qualifier at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 21:00.
