Former President Jacob Zuma is back in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court on Friday.
Last month, the court dismissed Zuma's application for a permanent stay of prosecution.
He is facing fraud and corruption charges arising from the multi-billion-rand arms deal with French arms company, Thales.
Thales also suffered a blow as its application was dismissed with costs.
The company has approached the Constitutional Court to challenge the ruling on the basis that it will not receive a fair trial.
If these applications fail, Zuma and Thales face the prospect of going on trial in 2020.
