The first batch of Ospreys rugby players have arrived in Bloemfontein and the include three former Wales and one Irish age-group internationals.

The four players from the Welsh outfit are at the Cheetahs for the next six weeks as a part of the player sharing agreement between the two teams.

The Irish flanker, Will Hickey, was previously a Leinster U19 captain and it's his third time in South Africa after also having spent time at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport.

In addition, lock Lewis Jones and prop Cameron Jones, linked up with the team, while the loose-forward Tristan Davies is the fourth member in Bloemfontein.

Late last year, the first three Cheetahs players went to Swansea with the hooker Marnus van der Merwe, scrumhalf Rewan Kruger and winger Daniel Kasende all enjoying some game time in the URC.

More recently, the Cheetahs captain, Victor Sekekete, loose-forward Jeandré Rudolph and centre Evardi Boshoff all represented the Ospreys. Boshoff’s stay has been extended and he will continue to play for them until at the end the URC.

The Ospreys quartet will not be eligible to play for the Cheetahs this week against Eastern Province.
