The blindside flanker, Tom Hooper, is in the starting XV for the Test, while Zane Nonggorr, Richie Arnold and Carter Gordan will all make their debut off the bench.

In addition, the seasoned flyhalf, Quade Cooper, is back in the Wallabies mix and he will be playing against the Springboks for the first time in a decade.

Cooper has recovered from an Achilles injury and his direct opponent in the Test will be the inexperienced, but exciting Manie Libbok.

Nic White will form the halfback combination with Cooper.

The Wallabies co-captain, Michael Hooper, said he has a lot of faith in the four debutants and he is sure they’ll play their part on Saturday as they target a first-ever win in Pretoria.

“You'll know after the game how we've fared, but in terms of the lead-up we've been focusing on ourselves a hell of a lot,” said the 124-time capped veteran.

“With the debutants, what they are bringing is a ton of energy. It's a ton of energy since the day they walked in to the time that they were selected, it seems to have gone up a notch.

“We're away from home here and we want to rip in. Having guys like that in the squad is exactly where we want to be.”

Saturday’s eagerly anticipated Test at Loftus Versfeld kicks off at 17:05.
