Bulls contract Everitt for the Currie Cup─── MORGAN PIEK 07:49 Fri, 10 Feb 2023
The Bulls have confirmed the contracting of Sean Everitt on a short-term basis. The former Sharks coach, Everitt, links up with the coaching staff at Loftus Versfeld under the guidance of Jake White.
Everitt will help at the Pretoria-based franchise for the duration of the Currie Cup, which gets under way on the weekend of 10 and 11 March.
Everitt’s contract will run from mid-February until the conclusion of the Currie Cup competition.
The Blue Bulls' CEO, Edgar Rathbone, said that Everett is a proven winner with a track record that speaks for itself.
"We are always looking to have the best rugby minds come onboard to help us advance the objectives of our franchise."
"Sean brings with him a lot of rugby IP and presents us with the opportunity to have an outside perspective. He has been impressive throughout his career, growing rugby champions that have gone on to entertain the rugby community for many seasons. His appointment is also our way of reinforcing our commitment to the Currie Cup and how well we want to continue doing in this competition.
"We are delighted to welcome Sean to Loftus and do hope that he will enjoy his time with us, and we are confident that the team he joins will collectively come together to bring more domestic success."
Recently, Everitt was sacked as the Sharks coach following a string of poor results in the United Rugby Championship. He has been a coach in the Sharks' system for more than a decade.
