A week prior, the Cheetahs played in their first warm-up game when they tackled the Sharks in Durban.

While the Sharks pipped the Cheetahs in the match, the progress of the team by far outweighed the results.

The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, said they were happy with the progress of the team as they continue to prepare to head to Europe in December to compete in the European Challenge Cup.

"It was a very physical game, exactly what we were looking for. The slippery ball made it difficult to play attacking rugby, and both teams scored maul tries," said Fourie.

"We are happy with the quality of play we saw against the Sharks. All the players showed great effort, and we are glad to have had this opportunity.

"We will focus on our attack for the next two weeks and how to play in the European conditions.

This match at the HT Pelatona Stadium will kick off at 15:00.
