The English are expecting the Springboks to revert to the tried and tested when these two battle it out this week in London.
The Springboks will enter the Test on the back of a resounding 63-21 win over the Azzurri of Italy, while the English in their turn played to a 25-25 draw against the All Blacks.
For the Springboks it is the last Test of their season, while the English are building towards next year’s Six Nations.
The England coach, Eddie Jones, expects the Springboks to play their typical brand of physical rugby.
“It's going to be a different game again,” said Jones who is tipped to become the next USA Eagles coach.
“South Africa played a little bit differently against Italy; and they played a little bit differently against France.
“I think they will be going back to Springbok rugby against us - we know that they have targeted this as their important game of their tour.
“They do not like getting beaten and we all expect a big, physical contest. In the setpiece against New Zealand we were disappointed that we didn't get an advantage, so we are going to have to do some good work.”
Saturday’s Test between England and the Springboks at Twickenham kicks off at 19:30.
